Some frequently asked questions

What if I don’t know what to say?

Everyone is different and some people don’t know what they want to say or how to start, they just know that things are not ok for them right now. Some people just can’t find words or they are afraid to speak. Some people talk a lot and everything seems to pour out. It is all ok, I offer a relaxed and flexible way of working together. If you want to try, then just show up and we will work it all out together.

I’m afraid of what I might feel or how I might react if I start counselling. What if it’s all too much?

I am here to listen to you, with empathy and no judgement. Your wellbeing is the most important thing and we will go at a pace that is right for you. Emotions are important and I can help you to tap into these in a safe way for you and to understand and release them.

What if my issues are too trivial? Or what if my issues are too traumatic for the counsellor?

No issue is too small or too large. I am here to help you with anything at all that is concerning you within the context of your own life and experiences.
